Biography Profiles

What are Biography Profiles?

On IBZIM, Biography Profiles are detailed pages that present factual information about individuals, institutions, places, and other notable entities.

They are created for educational and informational purposes, not for promotion, defamation, or spreading false information.

All biography profiles are available at:
https://www.ibzim.com/profiles

Types of Biography Profiles

IBZIM supports different types of biography profiles, including:

  • People Profiles
Well-known individuals from fields such as entertainment, sports, politics, and other public areas.

  • Institutions
Schools, businesses, organizations, and similar entities.

  • Places
Important locations such as landmarks, cities, suburbs, and regions.

  • Events
    Significant historical or cultural events.

  • Days
Notable days of the year, including holidays and observances.

Each profile type follows the same core structure but may include features specific to that category.

Profile Structure

A typical biography profile is made up of the following sections:

  1. Name and Short Description
A quick summary of who or what the profile is about.

  2. Information Table
A structured table containing key facts.
This section includes a Report Inaccuracy button that can be used to report missing, outdated, or false information.

  3. Detailed Biography
A full written section that explains background, history, achievements, and relevance.

  4. References
A list of credible sources used to create and verify the profile.

  5. Related News
Recent news articles connected to the profile, where applicable.

Actions on Biography Profiles

Right after the profile title and description, you will find action buttons that allow you to interact with the profile.

Save Profile

You can save a profile to read later.

Gift a Dollar

Some profiles (such as artists or socialites) may include a “Gift a Dollar” button. This allows users to send a small monetary gift to support the individual. It only works for individuals who:

  • Have a profile on IBZIM
  • Have a verified account
  • Have gift receiving enabled

Truth Score

Each biography profile has a Truth Score, shown by a labeled icon. This score indicates how reliable and well-supported the information is. By clicking the Truth Score icon, you can see more details about the score.

Truth score colors:

  • Green – Most information is verified
  • Yellow – Some information may need verification
  • Red – Most information needs verification or updating

If you find incorrect or misleading information, you can:

  • Click the report truth score button, or

Discussions and Reviews

Biography profiles include two tools for deeper analysis:

Discuss

  • Opens a side panel for community discussion
  • Used to fix issues, correct misinformation, or add relevant details
  • To participate, you must meet the required IBZIM rank (see the Ranking System Guide to learn how to rank up)

Reviews

  • Available only on specific profile types (such as schools and businesses)
  • Allows users to read and write reviews
  • You must have an IBZIM account and be logged in to write a review

Corrections and Edits

Simply stating that information is wrong is not enough.

If you believe a biography profile contains incorrect or misleading information:

  • You must provide credible sources to support your claim
  • Use the Suggest an Edit feature on the profile page

All suggestions are reviewed by the IBZIM team, and changes are only made after proper verification.
